This easy-to-make banana bread is moist, crunchy, and extra sweet. We don’t use any refined sugar to make it. Bananas are naturally sweet, and we add bananas to sweeten the bread. We recommend using overripe bananas for extra sweetness. The bananas with dark skin that no one wants to eat. They are perfect for our recipe!

Start with soaking raisins in hot water for 15 minutes. Drain the water and dry the raisings. The best way to do it is with a paper towel. It absorbs the water well. Next, toast walnuts in a pan without oil. It takes around 5 minutes. We need some walnuts to decorate the bread. Set them aside. And chop the rest. Don’t cut it into tiny pieces. To notice the crunch, we need pieces around 5-7 mm.

Peel bananas and mash them with a fork, leaving small pieces inside. There is no need for a perfectly smooth texture. Add eggs and Greek yogurt. Combine.

Sift whole wheat flour. It’s important to aerate the flour to omit the clumps. Add bran that stays in the sieve to the flour. Mix with baking powder and salt. Mix liquid and dry ingredients. Add soaked raisins and toasted nuts.

Pour the batter into the baking form. Put toasted nuts on top. Bake for 1 hour at 180 C / 355 F. It’s essential to bake at the lower middle oven level. Check the baking consistency with a wooden stick. The bread has to be well baked. If, after 1 hour, the bread hasn’t baked through and it’s already dark, cover it with foil. Bake for 7 minutes more.

Remove banana bread from the oven and let it cool for 20 minutes. A delicious and easy banana bread is ready!
